1. Service Engagement
This Parent Agreement governs your use of the tuta. platform as a parent or legal guardian seeking tutoring services for a child in your care. By accepting this Agreement, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to enter into binding agreements on behalf of the child named in your profile.
2. Tutor Matching Process
When you submit a tutoring request on the tuta. Platform, tuta. will work to identify a suitable tutor based on your stated requirements including subject, student level, location, and scheduling preferences. tuta. does not guarantee a specific tutor or guarantee the availability of a tutor at any particular time. You will be notified once a match has been confirmed.
3. Fees and Payment
All fees are payable to tuta. directly — not to your tutor. tuta. collects payment on behalf of tutors and disburses their earnings according to the agreed commission schedule. You agree to pay all fees as invoiced by tuta. prior to or on the due date stated on your invoice. tuta. accepts payment via Mobile Money and other methods listed on the Platform.
4. Session Commencement
Sessions will only begin once tuta. has confirmed receipt of payment. Do not arrange or permit sessions to take place before payment confirmation is received from tuta. tuta. will not be liable for any sessions conducted before payment confirmation, and such sessions may not be covered by tuta.'s service guarantee.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Once tutoring sessions for a given month have commenced, no refund is available for that month's fees. If you wish to cancel before sessions commence, please notify tuta. at least 48 hours before the first scheduled session for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of the first session may attract a cancellation fee of up to 20% of the first month's fee. tuta. may issue service credits at its discretion in exceptional circumstances.
6. Conduct During Sessions
You agree to ensure that your child is present and ready for scheduled sessions, that sessions take place in a safe and suitable environment, and that all parties are treated respectfully. You agree to communicate any concerns about session conduct through the tuta. Platform rather than directly with the tutor.
7. Child Safeguarding
tuta. is committed to child safety. All tutors on the Platform undergo identity verification. For in-person sessions, we recommend that a parent or trusted adult be present in the home during the session, particularly for younger children. You agree to report any safeguarding concerns immediately to tuta. via our support channels. tuta. will take all reported concerns seriously and respond promptly.
8. Communication Policy
All substantive communication regarding sessions, payments, and scheduling should occur through the tuta. Platform messaging system. Sharing personal phone numbers or social media handles with tutors for the purpose of arranging off-platform payments is a breach of this Agreement and may result in account suspension.
9. Account Management
You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and up to date, including your child's current grade level and subjects. You agree to notify tuta. promptly of any change in your payment method, contact details, or if you wish to pause or end tutoring services.
10. Governing Law
This Parent Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be referred first to tuta.'s internal dispute resolution process. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
